Much Better Adventures has launched a new collection of Rewilding Adventures designed to give budding Attenboroughs the opportunity to encounter rare wildlife in remote corners of Europe whilst supporting critical rewilding projects.
The new adventure holidays include wolf tracking in the Italian interior, learning about Marsican brown bears in the Central Apennines, tracking moose in Swedish forests, and visiting bison in Romania. Every trip is led by expert rewilding guides and specialist wildlife trackers and directly supports the rewilding of keystone species and critical conservation efforts in Europe.
The collection of ‘active safaris’ involves hiking, snowshoeing, foraging, torchlight tracking, and wild swimming in lakes and rivers, while accommodation includes a mix of wild-camping, secluded cabins, mountain refuges, safari-style camps, and family-run guesthouses.
Highlights of the collection include a rewilding adventure in Romania’s Tarcu Mountains, where travelers will track wild bison, bears, and wolves through the Southern Carpathians; a chance to spend three days trekking through pristine boreal forests in search of wolves and moose in Sweden; and encounters with chamois and golden eagles in Italy’s Central Apennines Rewilding Area.
The tariffs for the new trips, which range from two to four nights and commence June 24, include guiding, transfers, accommodation, equipment, most meals, and a Rewilding Levy of 5% which goes directly to the rewilding project connected to each trip. On top of this, Much Better Adventures channels an additional 5% of revenues from every booking towards reforestation and rewilding projects in Europe.
