Canada Goose Adds Telemetry Capsule Jackets in Time for Spring

Planning for wind-whipped destinations ahead? Canada Goose has added the men’s and women’s jackets of the Telemetry Capsule to its The Icons collection.

Ideally suited for wet and wild destinations in summer and spring, Canada Goose has created the Telemetry Capsule, a collection of four jackets for men and women that combine functional design with algorithmic art to
emulate the transformation from production to completion.

The third addition to the brand’s The Icons seasonal collection, which breathes new life into some of Canada Goose’s most iconic designs, the new jackets take their design inspiration from the Resolute Parka.

The Resolute Parka embodies Canada Goose’s lifelong expertise as a manufacturer of extreme functional outerwear. The parka, known as the industrial parka of the North, has proudly been worn by explorers on Trans-Antarctic expeditions and workers at high-Arctic observatories for decades. The Resolute Parka provides essential warmth and protection from the elements experienced in those frigid, remote locations.

The Telemetry capsule, made by deconstructing the Resolute Parka, resembles the original’s functional capabilities while providing optimal comfort and elemental protection for the unpredictability of Spring.

The Men’s Resolute Shell and the Women’s Resolute Shell and both waterproof and represent the outer structure of the Resolute, offering superior weather protection with a relaxed, longline silhouette. Each boasts features like an adjustable hood, reflective detailing, and removable interior backpack straps.

The Men’s Hexode Jacket and the Women’s Metron Jacket represent the Resolute’s inner insulation, providing lightweight warmth in the transition from winter to spring weather. These lightweight down styles have military-inspired quilting, snap closures to lock in the body’s natural heat, elongated hemlines at the back, and removable interior backpack straps. Layered together or worn on their own, the four pieces of this capsule function in any Spring environment.

A celebration of this expertise, the Telemetry Capsule is a beautifully artistic approach to the science of production and design at Canada Goose. The data that is created during production is transformed into algorithmic art, which is exhibited in the Resolute Shells, specifically in the seam seal tape inside each, which shows the Resolute Parka’s style number. The print on the Hexode Jacket and Metron Jacket is finished in a brand-new pattern, the Orthos Print. A stunning expression of color and analytical technology, the eye-catching print is futuristically designed and made from an algorithmic metamorphosis of the data from Canada Goose’s production floor.
