Snorkel With Blue Whales

Natural World Safaris offers intrepid travelers a unique opportunity to snorkel with majestic blue whales off the coast of Sri Lanka.

During this beautiful underwater adventure travelers will have the truly unique opportunity to swim with, be photographed alongside, and assist in the research of the largest animal ever known to exist on earth, the blue whale.

This exclusive pioneering itinerary, led by one of our renowned photographers: Joshua Barton and his team offers guests a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to assist a research team and be photographed with these spectacular giants of the deep. Joshua has extensive experience chronicling whales; his NWS clients were the first non-professionals to photograph transient orcas underwater off the country’s coast during a safari in 2016.

Natural World Safaris’ guides have developed an expertise that is unmatched when it comes to close encounters with Sri Lanka’s marine wildlife. Guests may also have the opportunity to be joined on their safari by a team of local researchers, allowing travelers to assist with their conservation efforts throughout your trip.

Guests will spend their time heading out into the ocean in search of these gentle giants, before joining them in the water for a truly magical experience. When back on land, travelers can relax and enjoy the comforts of their secluded beachside resort and reflect upon your unforgettable underwater encounters.

The nine-day itinerary will take place in March 2023.
