Sediba Sa Rona, meaning “Our Source of Water,” is more than a lodge – it is a testament to the Desert & Delta Safaris commitment to sustainable tourism and local empowerment. In partnership with Savanna Expeditions, a Botswana citizen-owned company, this project revitalises the historic Khwai River Lodge while preserving its footprint to minimise environmental impact.
Nestled at the crossroads of iconic ecosystems – the Okavango Delta’s eastern fan and the Moremi Game Reserve – Sediba Sa Rona offers unparalleled access to one of Africa’s richest wildlife corridors. Guests will be immersed in a landscape teeming with elephants, big cats (lions, leopards and cheetahs), wild dogs, hippos, and more than 500 bird species. The lodge promises unforgettable encounters through twice-daily game drives, seasonal mokoro excursions on the Khwai River, and optional day trips to Moremi Game Reserve.
