A new era of luxury superyacht charters has begun in North Queensland with the arrival of M.Y. Northern Escape in Cairns.
The 41-metre Benetti superyacht arrived in Australian waters in January after three successful seasons in the Mediterranean and will offer exclusive charters from Cairns, Queensland.
M.Y. Northern Escape‘s arrival coincides with the relocation of the Morris Nautical fleet, which includes M.Y. Beluga and M.Y. Flying Fish, to the Cairns Marlin Marina. The collection provides high-end travellers an unparalleled opportunity to experience the untouched beauty of the Great Barrier Reef, Queensland’s tropical coastline, the South Pacific and beyond, all in extraordinary luxury.
New Levels of Luxury
Delivered in 2022, M.Y. Northern Escape is a masterpiece of modern yacht design. Built by the renowned Italian shipyard Benetti, the yacht combines sleek elegance with spacious, luxurious interiors. Designed by Bonetti/Kozerski, interiors are flooded with natural light and feature refined and sophisticated furnishings.
The superyacht accommodates up to 12 guests in five beautifully appointed cabins, including a full-beam master suite, two VIP cabins, and two twin cabins with convertible beds. Guests can also enjoy a wellness room with a massage table and wellbeing space.
On the exterior, M.Y. Northern Escape boasts expansive outdoor spaces, including an upper deck with sunbathing areas, jacuzzi, and alfresco dining. The yacht’s beach club, with its infinity pool, connects seamlessly to the ocean, offering an exceptional, close-to-water experience.
Whether seeking relaxation or adventure, the yacht’s expert crew of seven will curate bespoke itineraries to suit each guest’s desires. Enjoy tailored experiences such as private island picnics, underwater exploration, or deep-sea fishing, all guided by a dedicated crew that knows these waters inside and out.
Exclusive Queensland adventures
M.Y. Northern Escape, alongside M.Y Flying Fish (32-metre Warren) and M.Y Beluga (36-metre Moonen), will be available for bespoke charters, where guests can tailor their journey to explore Queensland’s most remote islands, secluded beaches, and world-class dive sites. This exceptional fleet will expand even further in mid-2025 with the arrival of Gambler—a 19-metre Assegai, custom-built for exhilarating game fishing adventures. Currently under construction, Gambler promises an unrivalled experience for fishing enthusiasts and luxury travellers alike.
The World Heritage Listed Great Barrier Reef and Coral Sea offers unrivalled snorkelling, diving, and fishing opportunities, while the surrounding waters are perfect for whale watching, with Humpback and Minke Whales migrating from May to August.
Beyond the yacht, guests can enhance their charter with stays at some of the region’s most exclusive properties. Morris Nautical guests can opt to combine their yacht experience with a stay at Pelorus Private Island or Orpheus Island Lodge, both part of the Morris Escapes portfolio. These luxurious retreats provide an unmatched level of seclusion and indulgence, elevating an already extraordinary charter.
