How About a Private Yacht Cruise to Iceland?

EYOS Expeditions will offer its latest per cabin charter expedition to Iceland aboard the acclaimed expedition super yacht Hanse Explorer.

Departing from Iceland’s capital Reykjavik July 3, 2021 and cruising along the nation’s wild northwest coast, before ending in Akureyri a week later, the private 47-meter expedition yacht Hanse Explorer will offer the exclusivity of a private yacht experience, but with the convenience of a scheduled departure with individual cabins for sale.

Guests will be greeted on arrival at the airport before being transferred to a luxury hotel for the evening. The next day they will enjoy a private e-mountain bike tour to Fagradalsfjall volcano to witness the spectacular ongoing eruption. Afterwards, they board Hanse Explorer and set sail that afternoon.

The next six days will be spent exploring Iceland’s Northwest coast with its towering sea cliffs. Using the yacht’s nimble Zodiacs and kayaks, guests will access remote landings, anchor in protected, secluded fjords and search for wildlife. There will be an opportunity to hike remote trails in the Snæfellsjökull National Park, dominated by its glaciated volcano where Jules Verne’s classic novel Journey to the Centre of the Earth began, and trek along volcanic beaches, mysterious sea caves, untouched lava fields and green grasslands. Guests will also visit the innumerable islands of Breiðafjörður with its jaw dropping fjords framed by jagged cliffs and head above the Arctic Circle and the land of the midnight sun on a visit to Grimsey.

EYOS Expeditions will offer its latest per cabin charter expedition to Iceland aboard the acclaimed expedition super yacht Hanse Explorer.

Long summer evenings will be spent watching for blue whales along the coastline from the comfort of the Hanse Explorer, or out in the yacht’s Zodiacs if conditions permit under the high summer sun. Guests will also be able to get up close to wildlife including arctic foxes and puffins, and two expert, personable EYOS guides will be onboard to provide interpretation and insight along the way.
