One of the South Pacific’s most indulgent private island retreats has reopened as the luxurious COMO Laucala Island.
Laucala Island, 14-square-kilometres of sun-kissed tropical bliss in Fiji, has joined the private island collection of COMO Hotels and Resorts, which also boasts coveted properties like COMO Parrot Cay and the Maldives’ COMO Maalifushi.
Home to just 25 sublime standalone residences, some of which are perched high on volcanic peaks while others are nestled beside one of the archipelago’s most beautiful beaches, COMO Laucala Island is a modern Crusoe-esque retreat that is just a 45-minute flight by resort plane from the international airport at Nadi.
Long a favorite among the world’s private jet set, who fly into the island’s own day-night strip, this breathtaking, coral-wreathed island of pristine protected mangrove forests and coconut groves, now offers travelers the elevated luxury of the COMO brand.
