Chef Nobu Matsuhisa to Return to Crystal with Umi Uma

Continuing his relationship with the cruise line in its previous chapter, Master Chef Nobu is back aboard Crystal Cruises.

Umi Uma is one of Crystal’s award-winning, specialty dining offerings, presented in an elegantly modern setting where dishes are inspired by the exotic array and traditions of the Orient and created by legendary Master Chef Nobuyuki (Nobu) Matsuhisa. Guests will again be able to dine on signature entrees such as Nobu-Style Black Cod, Grilled Chilean Sea Bass, Wagyu Beef Filet Steak, and some of the freshest sushi available at the Sushi Bar.

Guests can enjoy one complimentary reservation per person, per cruise, for sailings of 11 days or less. For sailings of more than 11 days, two complimentary reservations will be included. Additional reservations may be confirmed when onboard for a nominal charge, subject to availability. Reservations will be required to dine at Umi Uma.

“It wouldn’t be Crystal without having one of the most popular restaurants Umi Uma back onboard when the new Crystal sets sail,” says Senior Vice President Hotel Operations of Crystal, Bernie Leypold. “Crystal’s guests have come to know and love the exquisite offerings Chef Nobu has created specifically for Umi Uma and we are so grateful for Crystal to be the only cruise line with a Nobu restaurant at sea.”

Continuing his relationship with the cruise line in its previous chapter, Master Chef Nobu is back aboard Crystal Cruises.

Crystal Serenity’s inaugural sailing will depart July 31, from Marseille for a Mediterranean cruise, and Crystal Symphony will depart on September 1, from Athens. Crystal Cruises recently relaunched under a reimagined name and vision: Crystal – Exceptional at Sea. This new era for Crystal begins with an innovative website and branding under the guardianship of the A&K Travel Group. Crystal has also announced its 2023 and 2024 voyages aboard the newly refurbished Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony, reimagined with larger updated suites that include artisanal finishes, cutting-edge-onboard wellness, and world-class dining and entertainment. With over nine dining options onboard each ship, a leading spa, fitness facilities and large pool, there is ample choice for all.
