Scenic has revealed details of its exciting 2022/23 Worldwide Voyages Collection aboard the cutting-edge Scenic Eclipse.
The 2022/23 collection is packed with new and unique experiences, including an enhanced Antarctica program and new voyages to the Northeast Passage, Japan, and Mexico’s Sea of Cortez.
Scenic Eclipse‘s Worldwide Discovery Voyages Collection now reaches 35 countries on six continents during 48 voyages that include guided zodiac exploration, helicopter flights, and even a chance to dive beneath the waves of South Georgia Island aboard the Scenic Neptune, the first ultra-luxury cruise submarine to be able to operate in this extraordinary destination.
Highlights of the new collection include the 16-day Beyond the Antarctic Circle itinerary, which departs Buenos Aires on December 20, 2022, and delves into the White Continent’s pristine frozen landscape of never-ending icefields, towering rock faces, glistening blue icebergs, and unperturbed wildlife. Visiting just after the summer solstice, guests will enjoy plenty of daylight for daily discovery expeditions through this unforgettable destination.
The 13-day Fire & Ocean: Russia’s Kamchatka & The Kurils adventure ventures along one of the world’s most active tectonic plate boundaries, the Pacific Ring of Fire. Home to active volcanoes, the Kuril Islands rise from the deep and have developed into a chain of unique and dramatic landscapes, with fertile soil and stunning wildlife. During the Scenic Eclipse 2022/23 collection journey, guests will have the opportunity to discover the history of the indigenous Ainu people, and learn the intricacies of the dispute between Russia and Japan over these remote islands.
One of the most sought-after expedition destinations in the world, Scenic Eclipse will explore the Canadian Arctic during the 26-day Cross the Legendary Northeast Passage itinerary. Journey where very few have ventured before, as Scenic Eclipse navigates the remote regions and unique wonders of one of the world’s greatest seaways, the Northeast Passage. Sailing from Nome in Alaska to Tromsø in Norway, the route passes through sea ice, and past glaciers and ancient ceremonial sites wreathed by mountain-lined landscapes and volcanic spires. Highlights include the rarely visited Novaya Zemlya, the third largest wilderness area in Europe, and the world’s northernmost archipelago, Franz Josef Land.
