Hasselblad Creates Anniversary X1D Edition

Marking the Swedish camera guru’s 75th anniversary, Hasselblad has released the X1D ‘4116 Edition’, the next phase of the world’s first compact mirrorless medium format camera.

When it comes to serious photographers, one name is rarely far from the lips, and that’s Hasselblad. The brand is synonymous with technological prowess and elegant design, and its camera systems are coveted by some of the world’s greatest shooters.

Since 1941, the brand has drawn on founder Victor Hasselblad’s philosophy of innovation and design to produce cameras that push the boundaries of excellence and help photographers create captivating images.

Weighing less than half that of a conventional digital medium format camera, and packed with features, including built-in GPS, WiFi, and HD video capabilities, the recently-launched X1D is ergonomic and compact, offering a handling experience unlike any other. With its 50-megapixel CMOS sensor, 25,600 ISO range, and 14 stops of dynamic range, it also offers next-level photographic credentials.

A stylish evolution of this photographic powerhouse, the X1D ‘4116 edition’ is a special all-black version that comes complete with an extended warranty, a leather hand strap, and an XCD 45mm lens, all of which is presented in a unique ‘4116 edition’ box, ensuring performance and aesthetics in equal measure.
